The South Easts biggest Free Admission Fun Park
Adventure Island is a theme park ideal for children, teenagers and grown ups who are a little bit "chicken". The scariest ride is "RAGE" which is a small roller coaster with a loop and a twist leading to a straight drop of about 50ft which is fun but if you've been to Alton Towers or Chesington you'll think nothing of it.There are tons of rides including some for the smaller kids like the Helter Skelter slide. There's also a water slide! Among the rides are stalls with the old Hook The Duck and Knock Over The Cans type of games where you can win obnoxious stuffed animals that are bigger than your children. You can pay per ride but most people buy wristbands and then you get to go on as much as you want all day long! They are half-price after 6pm.Food available includes fish 'n' chips, hot-dogs, burgers, hot doughnuts, candyfloss, ice-cream, rock, coconut ice - all the usual sea-side stuff. If you can't get to a proper theme park then Adventure Island is a pretty good alternative. Young kids will think it's amazing anyway, I always did when I was little!

It's on the seafront and it's advertised as the 'driest' attraction in the UK. Be that as it may it's still jolly expensive.Actually it's free to get in and look around, but to buy a 'wristband' that allows you to try what you like all day. “You only pay if you play” is their slogan. A junior band (if you're between 1 – 1.2m) is £15, and adult wristband is £22 so a family of 4 is going to have to pay at least £74 more if your children are over 1.2m possibly £88. Although I must add book online for a good discount; £5 for an adult, £3 for children. Even so for my money I'd rather go to Alton Towers where a family of 4 can purchase a ticket online for only £78. Then again if you're in Southend then Alton towers is a long way away.
peter pans is not a very good theme park its very old and the rides are falling down! we all hate peter pans!!!
