Rochford Modified Sub Post Office

Admittedly I have only been to this shop, which is also a convenience store, twice, but each time the reception was less than warm and friendly! There was also an air of chaos. I had a subscription voucher for my newspaper, which the agent submits for repayment, and on the second visit the proprietor gave me a long diatribe of how 'you people with these vouchers arer a nuisance and we never get paid for them anyway.' I pointed out that I had no trouble at any of several other shops where I use them regularly and that the vouchers were at least a means of getting customers into the shop where they may choose to buy more products. I was testily told that people with the vouchers did NOT buy other goods. I HAD intended to buy other items that day, but decided not to in view of the owner's attitude. I wont go to the shop again. A shame, in a town like Rochford where business owners generally are brilliant.
