excellent food and service
This is simply the best restaurant in Southend. My husband and I dine out at least 3 times a week at various local restaurants. We visited the Lemon Tree last night and everything we ate was delicious. We both had the garlic prawns which were perfect especially as the shells had been removed, they were put back on for decoration but were easily dislodged using a fork or knife so there were no sticky fingers and fussing around which I personally dislike. My husband had a chicken and mushroom dish and I had the Dover Sole which was to die for. There was an excellent selection of wines and the service was great. It is not cheap but the prices were definitely justified.
